If you are into the last mile delivery process, then creating and managing the delivery routes is one of the biggest problems you will face in the whole delivery process. If the courses for delivery are not planned properly, then, in the end, it’s you and your driver who will suffer the most, and thus leaving a significant impact on your last-mile delivery. The challenges become even more complex when you’re dealing with multiple delivery addresses scattered across different locations, varying traffic patterns throughout the day, and time-sensitive deliveries that require precise coordination. Zeo Route Planner has always tried to tailor those features to manage delivery addresses easily, recognizing that efficient route planning is the backbone of successful delivery operations.
Modern delivery businesses face unprecedented challenges in 2026, with customer expectations for faster deliveries continuing to rise while fuel costs and operational expenses demand maximum efficiency. Whether you’re managing a small local delivery service, running an e-commerce fulfillment operation, or coordinating field service appointments, the ability to quickly import and optimize delivery routes can make the difference between profit and loss. Many businesses struggle with the tedious process of manually entering addresses, dealing with incomplete or incorrectly formatted address data, and the time-consuming task of organizing stops in the most efficient sequence.
Keeping all the delivery process complications in mind, we developed Zeo Route Planner, the ultimate stop for all your delivery management. We tried to develop those features that can help in the proper management of the delivery process from the dispatcher side and the driver side. Our development team has continuously worked to understand the real-world challenges faced by delivery professionals, from small business owners managing their own routes to large logistics companies coordinating hundreds of deliveries daily. The result is a comprehensive solution that addresses not just route optimization, but the entire workflow from address import to delivery completion.
With Zeo Route Planner’s help, you get a wide range of options to import your addresses into the app. The app provides methods such as excel import, image capture, QR/Bar code scan to import all your addresses into the app. These multiple import options ensure that regardless of how you receive your delivery information – whether it’s in a spreadsheet from your e-commerce platform, printed on invoices, or encoded in scanning systems – you can quickly get that data into your route planning workflow without manual data entry errors.
We have recently developed another feature, which will help you directly import a list of addresses from Google Maps to the Zeo Route Planner app. Then from there, you can optimize your routes and start the delivery process. This integration bridges the gap between Google Maps’ familiar interface that many users already know and Zeo’s powerful route optimization capabilities. Many delivery professionals use Google Maps for quick route checks or when customers share locations via Google Maps links, making this import feature a natural extension of existing workflows.
We have talked about the optimization process in Google Maps, which you can read from here. Since Google Maps allows only 9 stops, we don’t recommend using it, but we have done something that can help you get your list of addresses into the Zeo Route Planner. We have received a few feedback from small business drivers that they need some provision in the app to load the address straight from the Google Map apps. We being a customer-oriented service, took up that feedback and developed this provision for those drivers who get the list of addresses shared from Google Maps. This limitation of Google Maps becomes particularly problematic for delivery businesses that routinely handle 20, 50, or even 100+ stops per day, making a dedicated route planning solution essential for serious delivery operations.
The Google Maps import feature is particularly valuable for businesses that work with customers who commonly share their locations via Google Maps. Rather than having to manually copy and paste addresses or re-enter location data, you can now seamlessly transfer that information directly into Zeo’s optimization engine. This saves valuable time and reduces the potential for address errors that can lead to failed deliveries and customer dissatisfaction.
Let’s see how you can import all your list of addresses from Google Maps to the Zeo Route Planner app. We recommend watching this YouTube video tutorial to get the proper insight into how you can directly load the address from Google Maps to the Zeo Route app.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What happens if Google Maps has more than 9 stops and I want to import them all to Zeo Route Planner?
A: Since Google Maps limits you to 9 additional stops plus your starting point, you’ll need to create multiple route segments in Google Maps and import them separately into Zeo Route Planner. Once imported, you can combine all the addresses into a single optimized route in Zeo, which can handle hundreds of stops without limitation.
Q: Will the addresses maintain their accuracy when transferred from Google Maps to Zeo Route Planner?
A: Yes, the import process preserves the exact coordinates and location data from Google Maps, ensuring that the addresses maintain their accuracy. Zeo Route Planner uses the same location data that Google Maps validated, so you won’t lose any precision in the transfer.
Q: Can I edit or add more details to the imported addresses once they’re in Zeo Route Planner?
A: Absolutely! After importing from Google Maps, you can edit any address details, add customer information, delivery notes, time windows, or priority settings. You can also add additional addresses using any of Zeo’s other import methods like Excel, image capture, or manual entry.
Q: Do I need to have both Google Maps and Zeo Route Planner installed on my device for this to work?
A: Yes, you need both apps installed on your device. Google Maps needs to be able to share the route data, and Zeo Route Planner needs to be available as a sharing option to receive and process the imported addresses. Make sure both apps are updated to their latest versions for optimal compatibility.
Q: Is there a limit to how many times I can import addresses from Google Maps to Zeo Route Planner?
A: There’s no limit to how many times you can use the import feature. You can import different route segments throughout the day or week as needed. This flexibility makes it easy to build comprehensive delivery routes from multiple sources or to handle last-minute route additions from customers who share their locations via Google Maps.
